Elephant Hill

Monticello, UT

The 4x4 route into the Needles District of Canyonlands National Park, opening with a steep slickrock climb and a switchback that has to be reversed down. Beyond the hill the route threads SOB Hill and the Silver Stairs into Devils Kitchen. A National Park Service day-use or overnight permit is required.
